The lack of more global damage other than just Undead and Demons is a slight drawback, but this covers so many of the mobs in D2 that it doesn't matter that much. Just don't follow the usual advice of creating it in an Amazon-only bow, unless you plan for your Amazon to be your designated gambler.Įdge really has a lot of good things for a low-level bow Runeword as a weapon, although it has some competition in its level range from several good Uniques, wuch as Stormstrike and Wizendraw. The vendor price changes also stack with this charm, so in theory you could get up to 55% reduction in vendor prices, repairs, and gambling with both items.Īs an actual bow, it's got plenty of good things going for it that a young Amazon could ask for. The only other item in game that reduces vendor prices is the charm Gheed's Fortune, a rare-drop Unique charm that drops in Hell difficulty.
Every class can equip Edge, as long as it's not created in an Amazon-only bow.
The Edge bow must be equipped to work (not just in inventory) but you'll see the price reduction immediately.
You may not think this is important, but this reduction in vendor price extends to repair prices and Gambling as well. So why should someone playing a melee or caster class be interested in making an Edge? It's because it's one of only two items in the game that reduces vendor item prices when equipped- and you can get it as low as level 25.
